In this chapter the main event was the killing of Mr Jekyll. Mr Hyde was in a dark allyway with his cane and he clubbed the old man to death, “he was trampling his victim under foot.” Furthermore the maid was the one who watched the brutal murder of Mr Jekyll and reported it to detectives. The ditectives search his house finding lock fast draws to be thoghrly look through and pockets turned inside out and his room a mess with ashes scattered. This shows that Mr Hyde has tryes to get rid of the evidence.
